'One District, One Product Policy' of Karnataka will help the Food Processing Industry.

Karnataka is going to introduce 'One District, One Product Policy' to accelerate the potential of the unorganized food processing sector by allowing them to avail more credit, connecting them to the market, and providing the know-how of technology.

Examples- 1) North Canara District - Spices

2) Mysore - Banana

3) Belgavi - Jaggery

This is a well thoughtful move by the Government of Karnataka to boost the economy of the state and to support the micro-entrepreneurs.

Karnataka Government is planning to allocate INR 100 crores for this scheme in the budget 2021-22.

Agriculture Department and Karnataka State Agri Produce Processing and Food Corporation are nodal agencies to lead this policy.

Micro-entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups, Farmer Producer Cooperatives are going to get a 35% subsidy for the projects.
